Celestial Seasonings Sweet Coconut Chai Tea

Celestial Seasonings Sweet Coconut Chai TeaI have been having a love affair with Celestial Seasonings Sweet Coconut Chai Tea for the past two nights. Every night, it envelops me in it's deep, rich, spicy flavor and gets me ready for a good nights sleep. The ingredients are roobios, decaf black tea, cinnamon, roasted chicory, ginger, natural coconut flavor, cloves, cardamon, nutmeg, paprika, black pepper and chinese star anise ... an abundance of spices! I must admit that there isn't much coconut flavor in this, so "Spiced Chai" would have been a more accurate name for this tea. Actually, if you read the ingredients list for another of my favorite Celestial Seasonings tea, the Original Indian Spice TeaHouse Chai (read the review), you'll see that they are very similar.

Celestial Seasonings Sweet Coconut Chai Tea is 100% natural and decaffinated, hence it won't keep you awake at night. I'm a big believer in drinking tea as a way to combat late night craving, so if you like deep, rich, flavors, then get a hold of this tea, try it and tell us what you think. A pack of 6 boxes with 20 tea bags is available on Amazon.com for $15.26.

Some other excellent recommendations for tea can be found on the Tea topic on the Food Forum. I like my tea with 2 packets of Splenda in it. How do you take your tea?

Oooh... this sounds good. I'll have to try it. I like making a chai latte with unsweetened almond milk in the mornings, but I don't want the caffeine from the black tea in the evenings. The use of rooibos in this is a nice touch.

I'm going to try this ASAP!!! Looks wonderful!!

I also drink alot of tea, and I've tried the various Enchanted Chais. I love all of them, though they are very, very similar in overall flavor.

My latest, favoritest tea is the Kava Stress Relief from Yogi Teas. I wasn't sure I'd like the licorice root (I despise black licorice), but this stuff it great! It is sweetened with stevia, so I don't even add Equal, just brew, let cool a bit, and sip. Ahhhhh.

This tea is wonderful; the local grocery market had it on sale recently. I boil 32 oz of water and use two tea bags--so it gives you an idea how strong this tea is. Then I put fat-free milk and splenda for maximum figure friendliness. I do agree with Tanya Taylor's assessment that the coconut flavoring aspect could get a boost in this mix (so it's really misnamed on the box), but it's still lovely overall.
