Kraft Fat Free Mozzarella Cheese
Seeing Kraft Fat Free Mozzarella in my local grocery store on sale was like an answer to one of my wishes - a way to enjoy yummy, ooey, gooey, guilt-free (hopefully) cheese in some of my favorite dishes. I picked it up, despite the fact that it was still $3.30 on sale; after all, what could be better than guilt-free melted mozzarella?
I decided to make some lasagna and top it with this at the end of the baking. Naturally, a little taste-test from the package was required. It had mozzarella's tanginess, though I noticed something a bit...sour about it. The texture was a bit disappointing, too - not terrible, but there was something rubbery and dry about it. Figuring that melting it would remedy this, I topped my casserole with the cheese and baked it for fifteen minutes. Returning to my oven, I was hoping to see bubbly gooeyness on top of my casserole, but instead was greeted my what looked like a sheet of white plastic. The taste of it confirmed the looks. It was neither stringy nor gooey, but was hard, slightly crunchy, and woefully bland.
One 1/4 cup serving of Kraft Fat Free Mozzarella (28 grams), contains 45 calories, no fat, 340 milligrams of sodium (14% of the RDA), 8 grams of protein, 2 grams of total carbohydrates and 25% of your daily calcium per serving.
While the sodium content is quite high, I might have been willing to buy this product because of the low fat and calories. However, this fails in taste, texture and it's certainly not worth the high price of almost $4.00 (when not on sale) for an 8 ounce bag.

I've tried the Kraft Fat Free Shredded Cheddar and had a similar experience to yours. The food tasted better without the nasty cheese. I threw it out immediately. I will never again waste my money on fat free cheeses. It has to be the real deal in moderation. Some low fat cheeses taste alright but still not worth the calories in my opinion.
I love this stuff!!!! It i sooo good!!!
Just out of curiosity….Do you know where I can get quality organic/vegan ingredients online? I am now trying to order from online stores only because of various reasons…….can you help me with any suggestions??????
There is only one place, out of all that I have tried that really stood out for true quailty, and that is Celebrityfoods.
If you can help me grow my list of quality services or stores, where I can buy my food, I would greatly appreciate it.
Thank you!
I have been on weight watchers since 2002 and have made kraft moz cheese individual slices a major part of my diet. I am no longer able to find them in any of the grocery stores in my area. Have you stopped making them?
I love the Kraft FF cheeses. Baked with zucchini, egg and wheatfree bread, it makes a delicious meal that I can actually eat!!
