Simbree Cashew Coconut Energy Bar

Simbree Energy BarSimbree Energy Foods produces wheat free Granola, Energy Bites and Bars made from all natural ingredients which appear to be minimally processed. I received the Cashew Coconut bars in the mail and one look at the ingredients was enough to make me excited to try this - organic rolled oats, cashew, wild blackberry honey, organic oat bran, sesame seeds, brown sugar, ground soybeans, shredded coconut and expeller pressed canola oil - no artificial sweeteners and no chemicals disguised as foods.

That first bite was was all that I imagined it would be. All the ingredients blended well together, from sweet chewy coconut to crunchy nuts and oats. The bar looks a little small, but it is really densely packed which made it just enough for a light snack.

One Simbree Cashew Coconut Energy bar is 42 grams, and has 170 calories, 11% of the recommended amount of total fat (7 grams), 8% of the RDA for saturated fat (1.5 grams), no trans fat, 6 grams of protein and 25 grams of total fiber which includes 10 grams of sugar and 4 grams of fiber (15% of the RDA). There is also 10% of the daily value for Iron.

These snacks are available online at the Simbree Online Store - 12 for $21, and the Cashew Bites are also available from Amazon.com at $29.99 for 4 (12 ounce) bags.

The fat content is a little on the high side, but not too out of whack. I prefer natural snack bars and I'm adding this to my list of favorites.
