I try to buy organic food when I see it at the grocery store but I typically don't actively go out and look for organic alternatives.
I would love to eat more organic food and I generally do, whenever I can. I live in a small town though, so selection is REALLY limited.
It's the same problem that I have with the 100 mile diet. I would love to do it, if I lived in Florida or California I probably would. But I'm sick of smug people who are from those places talking about it. I refuse to spend 8 months of winter eating from a sack of rotting potatoes or carrots.
I do grab organic from time to time, but for most part I just grab the cheapest--not the most environmentally friendly. That's probably not what I should be doing, but it's what I am.
i get a large amount of seasonal organic produce from a local CoOp every 2 weeks. the difference in quality and taste is so great, that I've changed my grocery shopping habits and the cost doesnt really matter; the cost of my health & tastebuds is worth it.
I buy it, but not for seeking it out, because it's become prolific.
I've noticed that a lot of things marked as organic in the large supermarkets aren't exactly. The meats generally still have lots of additives after butchering.
i dont usually shop organic. i actually think i need to get more schooled on the whole organic thing because i would like to eat more organic foods.
Still have to read labels very carefully. We are more into our CSA, local farmers market, and growing our own than we are getting organic food from the grocery store.
