Organic Healthy Handfuls Oatmeal Raisin Crocodile Cookies
Healthy Handfuls is a company created by two moms, that makes organic snacks without high fructose corn syrup, preservatives and artificial colors. The Oatmeal Raisin Crocodile Cookies was in such a colorful little box that I decided to give it a try. Thankfully, the cookies come in a single serving box or pouch, so there's no chance to over eat - I love built in portion control!
The cookies are bite-sized and simply delicious! There is no difference in taste between these and any other cookies that I've had before - and that's a good thing, because the difference is in the ingredients! Whole wheat flour, evaporated cane juice, oats, safflower oil, raisins, honey, glycerine, guar gum, leavenings, cinnamon, sea salt and vanilla extract (all organic). Compare that list with other cookies and I bet most people would choose these every time.
One box (1.5 ounces) of Healthy Handfuls Oatmeal Raisin Crocodile Cookies is an entire serving, which has 190 calories, 8 grams of fat (12% of the RDA), 0.5 grams of saturated fat, 3 grams of protein and 29 grams of total carbohydrates, which includes 10 grams of sugar and 3 grams of fiber (10% of the RDA).
This is not exactly "diet food", but the use of organic ingredients and the fact that all the names on the ingredient list are recognizeable, make these the cookies to get whenever you want a treat. The packaging is cute and colorful with a crocodile on a skateboard, so it seems like they are appealing to kids. But don't let that stop you - one box is quite enough for an adult sized snack. The Crocodile cookies are available at Amazon.com, $25.36 for a case with 4 boxes (each box has 9 pouches). They are also available individually on the Healthy Handfuls online store at $1.59 per box.

These sound great, thanks for the review! What's the deal with the hfcs though? From what I've read, it's the same thing as table sugar, and both should be consumed in moderation.
