Michelinas Lean Gourmet Roasted Turkey
Michelina's Lean Gourmet Roasted Turkey frozen dinner uses a "chef inspired" recipe, and I would really like to know which chef inspired this mess. This meal is salty, salty and ... did I mention Salty?! 35% of the RDA for sodium in a package that's smaller than most others brands (8 compared to 10-12 ounces usually). Now I love salty foods probably more than the average person (I'm working on it), but even I have to admit that this meal just went overboard. I could feel my blood pressure rising and the beginnings of a headache within minutes of consumption (okay the blood pressure rising is a bit of an exaggeration). Other than the intense saltiness - as I mentioned before - it's small. There are exactly 4 pieces of turkey and the mashed potatoes are so mushy it's almost soup-like. This is definitely not one of the better Michelina's meals. One container of Michelina's Lean Gourmet Roasted Turkey has 170 calories 10% of the RDA for total and saturated fat (6 and 2 grams respectively), 10% of the RDA for cholesterol (couldn't they have found some leaner turkey meat), 13 grams of protein and 20 grams of total carbohydrate which includes 1 gram of sugar and 8% of the RDA for fiber (2 grams). This are also 4 Weight Watcher Points. Comments
