Lunch Totes

The best way to ensure that you'll eat a healthy lunch is to take it to work with you! I've been doing just that, but I needed a lunch toting apparatus that would separate lunch from the other contents of my purse.

Built NY Lunch ToteA check with Amazon.com revealed some fabulously stylish yet functional options. The BuiltNY Lunch Tote has a thick neoprene lining that keeps food insulated very well. There is also a separate section for a sports bottle, and the tote easily fits into a messenger bag or backpack. Because it's machine washable, this tote can last a very long time (just don't wash too often). Available at Amazon.com for $19.99.

Lunch SackThis Insulated Lunch Bag is not as stylish as the Built BY Tote, but it is much cheaper. The lunch sack has room for more than one container, and it also has a separate compartment at the bottom that can fit a water bottle. Available at Amazon.com for $6.99.

Bento LunchboxThe Zojirushi Mini Stainless Thermal Lunch Box comes with a vacuum insulated main bowl, 2 microwaveable side bowls, chopsticks and a lunch bag in which to carry them - everything you need for your lunch in one! You might want to replace the chopsticks with other utensils though. Available at Amazon.com for $39.99.

Mr Bento LunchboxThe Zojirushi Mr. Bento Stainless Steel Lined Lunch Jar is the larger version to the Lunch Box above. It comes with 4 microwaveable bowls that stack conveniently inside a stainless steel washable container. There are a whopping 134 reviews of this on Amazon.com with an average rating of 4.5 out of 5 - that's how much people love this. Available at Amazon.com for $41.83.

I have a Built in NY lunch tote and LOVE it. I love that it's flexible, so you can stuff all shapes of tupperware containers in there, and it's VERY spacious. And the machine washing really helps too. I used to use a lunch box until it started to smell and I got another. I've had my NY one for a few years and have no intention of getting another!!
