This week it is all about Ice cream, after all
July is National Ice cream Month. Check out all our
Reviews of Ice cream of the low fat variety of course.
Try a flavor you haven't tried before.
One 4 ounce cup of Dannon Activia Light has 70 calories, no fat, 5 grams of protein and 13 grams of total carbohydrate, which includes 8 grams of sugar and 12% of the RDA for fiber. The original version had 110 calories and 17 grams of sugars per serving. Both Dannon Activia Light and Dannon's Light 'n Fit with Fiber have 3 grams of fiber, but I prefer Activia Light because it tastes much better - even though they didn't market the fiber aspect of it. Activia also helps naturally regulate your digestive system, and they are so confident that they have a Two Week Money Back Challenge. There are a few options out there with less calories, such as Yoplait Light which has 100 calories per 6 ounce serving, but I think Activia Light is a viable option and I would definitely buy it again - although it's a little more expensive than some of the other yogurts at almost $2.00 for a pack of 4. MarcomMom said: Ah, well, the vanilla version doesn't have any flavoring, so if you don't object to buying from a company that uses ladybugs for other flavors, it should be OK. |

I just barely tried the vanilla flavor of this yogurt today. I liked it a lot.
I usually just eat fat-free plain yogurt with berries, preferring that to pre-sweetened kinds. But this is a good (and easy) alternative.
