Dasani Plus Cleanse + Restore Vitamin Enriched Flavored Water Beverage

Dasani Plus Flavored WaterDasani Plus is vitamin enhanced water similar to Glaceau Vitamin Water and Propel Fitness Water. I tried the Cleanse+Restore variety which is flavored with pomegranate and blackberry. The taste of this beverage was pretty unremarkable and certainly there was absolutely NO pomegranate or blackberry flavor that I could detect. It is more like a general berry flavor with a slightly acidic, tart edge from the added citric acid. In fact, neither pomegranate nor blackberry is listed in the ingredients list. Sure there is the generic term "natural flavors" on the label, but that could be anything.

The vitamins added in the Cleanse+Restore variety are 10% of vitamin E, B3, B6 abd B12, and there are no calories. The sweeteners used are sucralose (Splenda) and acesulfame K.

A 20 fluid ounce bottle of Dasani Plus costs $1.59. I would suggest you buy this if you want flavored water, but don't think for a minute that you are getting anything other than a slight berry taste. The pomegranate and blackberry appear to be nothing more than a marketing gimmick.

I tried the other flavors of Dasani Plus and I have to agree that they are good. I hate plain old Dasani bottled water, but this stuff I would buy again.

Haven't tried this one yet, but at least it's sugar content isn't as high as some, Vitamin Water in particular. 125 calories per bottle is way too much for water in my opinion...

my husband enjoyed the drink so much that it landed him a week stay at a local hospital, about
$ 20,000 in medical bills, and two months behind on bills. no one at coca cola will even call me.

gotta love flavored water

wow, I tried the pomegranate/Blueberry Dasani for the first time the other day and I thought it tasted exactly like pomegrante. I find it tough to get the taste in juices but I was really impressed with this. I'd like to know how it landed someone in the hospital though...that concerns me a bit!

In response to "My Husband Loved This Water So Much It Landed Him In The Hospital." Buyers beware, vitamins E, and A, are toxic in large quantities; Most Americans don't get enough of these vitamins because they eat a low vitaminm, high fat diet, so of course supplimenting vitamin E in the diet will make you feel like a million bucks. Here is where the problem comes in; Dasani water has %10 vitamin E dv so if you drink 10 bottles you are already just below toxic levels. Trying to sue Pepsi with this would be fruitless because they will make the comparison between vitamin intake and drinking enough water to make you sick. They would ask something like, "you wouldn't take twenty vitamin E pills would you? Then why would you drink twenty bottles of Dasani?" Please don't be offended. I just bought a bottle of the stuff and I like your husband really like the stuff. My reaction unlike your husband was to say, "Wow that's a lot of vitamin E, better not drink to much"
I hope that things get better for you guys and council restraint in any other eating situations.

I had 2 bottle of the pomegranate blueberry dasani water in a 2 day period and ending up with the worse diarehea in my life, which lasted for 31/2 days.

I love this water. It's a treat to drink though. I like the fact that it also has one gram of fiber in it also. I can't afford to spend 1.59 a bottle. So I have now problem having one a week or less.
