Brothers All Natural Freeze Dried Fruit
Brothers All Natural produces six varieties of fruit crisps: strawberry, pineapple, Asian pear, banana, apple, and strawberry-banana. One of the best ways to enjoy these is to add it to your favorite cereal. When you add milk, the freeze dried fruits soften and plump up - and just add a new dimension to your cereal. I also like to mix them into homemade trail mix. What you don't want to do is eat them straight from the bag. If you're used to traditionally dried fruit (like raisins), the texture of this fruit might seem a bit strange - like normal fruit but without any moisture, so it may seem like eating sweet styrofoam. To quote our friends over at HeatEatReview, "each little berry will suck all of the saliva out of your mouth." Each pouch of Brothers All Natural Freeze Dried Fruit is one serving (15 grams or about 1/2 cup), and contains 30-70 calories, from the freeze dried Strawberries, which has 30 calories and 4 grams of sugar, to the Pineapple, which has 60 calories and 11 grams of sugar (couldn't find the nutrition facts for the Asian Pear). There is only about 1 gram of fiber, no fat (of course), and no artificial flavors or preservatives. In fact, the only ingredient is the fruit. I have purchased these at regular supermarkets and at Whole Foods; they cost anywhere from 50 cents to $1.00 per pack. You can order in bulk (24 pouches) from Brothers All Natural website for $19.99. Christy said: I got some at Costco or you can order them from the Brothers-All-Natural website. I disagree with the comment in the article "What you don't want to do is eat them straight from the bag", I LOVE them! It's almost like potato chip consistency - they are light and crunchy, but taste JUST like the fresh version.

Margie said: I love these! I almost always eat them strait out of the bag, and I find the apple ones to be the best (but I don't like pineapples, so I haven't tried them). After the excellence of the fuji apple, I thought the pear was a little disappointment. But still very good. If you love fruit, in any form, I highly recommend these.
