Kashi TLC Cherry Dark Chocolate Chewy Granola Bar
This review was done by Ann H. In her words, "I am a 20 year old from southern Louisiana who is currently a 3rd year Marketing major at the University of Southern Louisiana. I am a bonafide "healthy product foodie!" My ultimate goal is to work in the marketing and development department of a healthy food company...like Amy's or Kashi."

Kashi TLC BarKashi has once again won me over with their TLC Cherry Dark Chocolate Chewy Granola Bars. These bars are awesome! To start, the "seven whole grains and sesame" blend provides a perfectly chewy texture to these bars. The cherries are like a little zing in your mouth, bursting with a lightly tart and sweet flavor. And now to the best part of these bars ... the dark chocolate! I have kind of an obsession bordering on infatuation with dark chocolate and the dark chocolate in the Cherry Dark Chocolate bars totally exceeded my expectations. The dark chocolate comes in the form of little mini chips dotted plentifully throughout the bars to add a sense of decadence to the product. When bitten into, the flavors of the chocolate, cherries, and granola mesh into a wonderfully harmonic symphony in your mouth!

As with all Kashi products, these bars are nutritionally pretty impressive. With no artificial sweeteners or "science lab" ingredients, these bars truly stand out from a crowd of bars that are laden with corn syrup and preservatives. The bars have a only 120 calories, little bit of fat at 2 grams (3% of the RDA), 0.5 grams of which are saturated, 5 grams of protein and 24 grams of total carbohydrate which includes a hearty 4 grams of fiber (15% of the RDA) and a low 8 grams of sugar.

The ONLY negative thing about these bars for me was the size for they are fairly skimpy at 35 grams, or about the size of a Quaker Chewy Granola Bar. I finished my bar in about 4 bites - I like my snacks to be a tad more filling to hold me over until dinner. However for a dieter or for someone looking for just a quick little snack, these are a perfect size. A box of 6 bars cost me $2.99 and I would definitely buy these again and again.

These bars are really delicious, if a little small. Id recommend them for a little sweet snack-- but they wont fill you up at all.

I randomly found one of these bars sitting all by itself in my friend's pantry. I instantly fell in love. The combination of flavors is not only satisfying, but exciting when you look at the nutritional information. It's sweet, but not too sweet. I think the size is perfect for a snack or dessert. The only thing I wish was that they mixed the dark chocolate chips into the bar instead of them being pressed into the top. Those little suckers fall off easily and I want to eat every bite! FYI: They're much cheaper at Target than at the regular grocery stores. I think I got mine for under $2 a box.
