PowerBar Harvest Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Whole Grain Bar

PowerBar Harvest Whole Grain Bars come fully loaded - loaded with protein (10 grams) and loaded with fiber (20% of the RDA). While there are bars out there with either more fiber (FiberOne and Gnu Bars), or more protein (ThinkThin bars), there are few that can boast that they have a combination of both.
I tried the Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip PowerBar. It was chewy yet firm and crunchy from the whole grains, and there were chocolate chips in every bite that. I really didn't detect much of a peanut butter flavor however, but that's okay because I don't like peanut butter much anyway - but if you do, take note.
One 65 gram PowerBar Harvest Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Whole Grain Bar has 240 calories, 4.5 grams of fat (7% of the recommended daily amount), 1 gram of saturated fat (5%), 10 grams of protein and 42 grams of total carbohydrates which includes 20% of the RDA for fiber (5 grams) and 18 grams of sugar. There is also 20 - 40% of many of the vitamins and minerals.
The sugar content is a little higher than I would like, but overall I really liked this bar. It's perhaps better as a meal replacement bar, maybe only breakfast though (hey it's better than just drinking coffee alone) or eat half as your morning snack and half as an afternoon snack. The bars were priced at 3 for $4.00 when I purchased them, but Amazon.com has a good price at $15.91 for a pack of 15 [link].

if you like these, i'd definitely recommend either the balance trail mix bars or kashi go lean crunchy bars--they're so much better! i've never gone back to the powerbars since.
