LaTortilla Factory Whole Wheat Low Carb Low fat Tortillas
Thanks to Molly's comments on the FlatOut wraps, I decided to try LaTortilla, so on my next trip to the grocery store I grabbed a pack of the Whole Wheat variety. I made my not-yet-famous wraps in the morning (iwhich took less than 10 minutes) and I had it for lunch. LaTortilla wraps have a slight starchy /wheaty taste. When I used it in a hot sandwich (chicken quesadilla made on the George Foreman grill), this was even less noticeable. I really enjoyed LaTortilla, but I must confess that I might have been influenced by knowing that one wrap is only 80 calories. The chicken tortilla wraps that I made turned out to be a little over 200 calories each (I cut one in 2 - so there are 2 whole wraps in the picture). There was 60 calories from 1/2 a serving of chicken strips (4 pieces) and 60 calories from 1/2 a serving of shredded cheese. One 62 gram LaTortilla Factory Whole Wheat Wrap has 80 calories, 3 grams total fat (5% of the recommended daily amount), no saturated fat, 8 grams of protein and 19 grams of total carbohydrates, which includes 1 gram of sugar and 14 grams of fiber which is 56% of the RDA - wowza! A pack of 8 costs $3.19 and is well worth the money. Comments

Molly said: Have you tried the "heart healthy" La Tortilla wraps made with olive oil? They are big and 90-100 calories. The tomato basil one is REALLY good!

Molly said: Oh sorry, I made a mistake. There are various types of tortillas made by La Tortilla. The ones I refer to in the previous comment are the Extra Virgin Olive Oil kind (100 cals), not the Heart Healthy kind (170 cals). But the flavor (Tomato Basil) is correct. Sorry!

I also enjoy these wraps, although I still am in love with my Flat Outs. The La Tortilla wraps I find to have a slightly low-carb, gummy taste and texture, but with the addition of lots of healthy fillings, this is not really as noticable. I usually buy these when the store is out of the Flat Out Multi Grain Flat Outs.
