Cascade Fresh Fat Free Yogurt

A few months ago, I decided that I had had a few too many liquidy, fruit-flavored concoctions that call themselves "yogurt." After so many dairy disasters, I decided that the artificial sweeteners were to blame. Granted, some brands manage to make artificially-sweetened yogurt quite delectable, such as Yoplait Light [read the review], but most however, fail miserably (ahem, take note Dannon Light N Fit). So I resolved to find a yogurt that was not only nonfat and fruity, but also palatable and naturally sweetened.
After considerable deliberation, I settled on Cascade Fresh Fat Free Yogurt.Cascade Fresh offers the standard flavors such as blueberry and strawberry, but also produces a few unexpected variations, such as apricot-mango and my personal favorite, orange Creamsicle. Cascade Fresh yogurt is all natural, free of additives and artificial colors; the milk used is even derived of cows that are not treated with rGBH hormones. The website boasts that their yogurt contains 8 active cultures and, most pertinent to my search, it is sweetened with natural fruit juice - precisely the kind of yogurt I was looking for. All the flavors were quite delectable; they were still sufficiently creamy for being nonfat and maintained a nice consistency after stirring. The only drawback was that the flavor is concentrated on the bottom so be sure to combine well before eating.
Nutritionally speaking, Cascade Fresh yogurt has nothing to hide. A 6 ounce container contains 110 calories, no fat, 7 grams of protein and 20 grams of total carbohydrates which includes 16 grams of sugars and no fiber. There is also 25% of your RDA for calcium.
The 16 grams of sugar may seem a tad high, but you must take into account that all dairy contains milk sugars, and the remaining sugar is from fruit juice. Overall, I definitely consider Cascade Fresh yogurt a keeper. I now consistently buy a few containers each week. At Whole Foods they cost $0.79 each. If you're tired of artificially sweetened yogurt impostors, you should definitely consider this brand.

I too LOVE this yogurt. I especially like the fact that there is real fruit in it and that I have to work to blend the combination of fresh plain yogurt and the concentrate at the bottom. I throw in some Uncle Sam's original for added flax and fiber, chase the mix with some herbal tea and call it a night.

WOW,this yogurt is great! it is made from milk that contains NO hormones and it is full of several different probiotics! and it isnt sweetened with sugar or man made sugars either! it is sweetened from fruit juice. FAT FREE also! this is a great yougurt! the only one i buy! good when your trying to lose weight!
please let me know if the Cascade Fresh fat free yogurt orange cream, lemon shiffon are GLUTEN FREE?? The ingredients indicated they are but I need to know for sure.

For stabilizer we use a small amount of tapioca, which comes from the cassava root, and pectin, which comes from citrus. The fruit juice concentrate is made from pineapples, peaches, pears, and apples."
I will buy this yogurt as long as they make it! It's soooo delicious! You'd never guess it has about 8-10 grams LESS sugar than most other brands... It's the best EVER!
I won't eat other yogurt - I drive to the ends of the earth (well, across town) for it. Cascade Fresh rocks!
I just had this and there is no way i am going back to artificial and/or high sugar "yogurts"!! yum!
I love this yogurt too, though it's hard to find in my area. I hope that some of the big-name supermarkets start carrying it as well as TJ's and WF.

where can you buy this yogurt? I live in Palmdale, CA 93552. We have a whole wheatery, Trader Joes, Stater Bros, Vons, and an Albertsons.
I've seen it at most regular grocery stores like Albertsons.
