Lean Pockets Chicken Fajita
This new Chicken Fajita offering from Lean Pockets features the cheesy tortilla style crust. The crust is crispy even when done in the microwave - it really only took the 2 minutes as suggested on the box. It's thick, cheesey and yummy! There is also plenty of cheese on the inside. I was able to get a few bites of chicken too, but I don't think there was as much as the picture on the box suggests. I'm not sure what makes this a chicken "fajita" as there was not much else other than chicken and cheese in there. I could tell that this Pocket had some flavor and spices added to it, but I didn't taste (nor see in the ingredients) any of the other traditional fajita ingredients like green peppers, tomatoes or onions. Actually, after eating the 2nd pocket, I bit into a long thick piece of onion, so I suppose there is some in there after all. I really liked the Pocket anyway - loved the new crust!
One box of Lean Pockets Chicken Fajita comes with 2 servings and costs $2.50. There are 260 calories, 7 grams of total fat, which is 10% of the recommended daily amount (RDA), 3.5 grams of saturated fat (18% of the RDA), no trans fat, 8% of the RDA for cholesterol and a whopping 31% of the RDA for sodium (730 mg). There is also 10 grams of protein and 39 grams of total carbohydrates which includes 3 grams of fiber (11% of the RDA) and 7 grams of sugar, plus 10-15% of quite a few vitamins and minerals.
I can't imagine starting the day off with 1/3 of the daily alloted amount of sodium and almost 1/5th for saturated fat. Still, one Lean Pocket is quite filling and I was able to go straight through until lunch time with no snacking in between. The Lean Pockets Low fat Four Cheese Pizza has less fat but the same amount of calories [read the review], while the Lean Pockets Supreme Pizza has lower calories (200 calories) and less fat, but tastes just as good [read the review].
I think I might have this occasionally when I am feeling for the occasional hot, filling breakfast with a little more taste and flavor than oatmeal. But if you are watching your sodium intake, you might want to pass on this.

is there any way you could include weight watchers points into your reviews? i totally love your blog, and I'm doing weight watchers at the same time. thanks!
I like the meatball pizza ones the best. These are pretty good but they have a stange after taste. I love all of the lean cusine ultras, which only have 200 calories each.
Argh, you scooped my review! I love these things too. I don't think they really qualify as lean, but dang are they a treat every once in awhile. I was really surprised to enjoy them so much.
