Lean Cuisine Ginger Garlic Stir Fry with Chicken

Lean Cuisine Garlic Stir Fry with ChickenLean Cuisine "Spa Cuisine Classics" line now has meals with twice the veggies as most other Lean Cuisine meals and I'm loving the fact that you can get 2 servings of vegetables from each meal because to tell the truth, I don't get much otherwise. The Ginger Garlic Stir Fry with Chicken comes with snap peas and broccoli with white meat chicken and whole grain rice in a ginger garlic sauce. The sauce is really what makes the meal. It is sweet, similar to the sauce from the Sesame Stir Fry with Chicken [read the review], but with a definite garlic aroma - not too strong though. Unfortunately, I couldn't detect the taste or smell of ginger anywhere in this meal, but that was the only drawback. The abundant portion of vegetables came out crisp and firm, and there was plenty chunks of chicken. Unfortunately the folks at Heat Eat Review didn't like this meal [read their review], but I thought it was actually pretty good. It was filling, certainly enough for lunch and I would definitely buy this again.

One box of Lean Cuisine Ginger Garlic Stir Fry with Chicken has 290 calories, 4 grams of total fat or 6% of the recommended daily amount (RDA), only 1 gram of saturated fat (5% of the RDA) and no trans fat, 27% of the RDA for sodium (geez!), 17 grams of total proteins and 45 grams of total carbohydrates, which includes 16% of the RDA for fiber (4 grams) and 19 grams of sugars - yikes! That's not necessarily a lot of sugar, but I just don't expect or want to get sugar from a frozen meal - I get enough of it elsewhere!

I did enjoy this meal from LC but I probably would go for the Sesame Stir Fry with Chicken over this, because it also has twice the veggies although it has 30 more calories, but there is less sugar.
