Lean Cuisine Sesame Stir Fry with Chicken
Vermicelli is one of my favorite types of pasta, so I was happy to see a frozen dinner that uses this instead of the traditional pasta noodles. The sesame sauce that comes with this meal is sweet and an excellent addition (be sure to mix everything together to get the sauce spread throughout). And there is an abundance of vegetables as well. The broccoli remained crisp, there was plenty edamame, plus some carrots and red peppers. I found the meal filling enough for lunch and I think it might do the trick for dinner if you have a snack a little later on - I had a stick of CocoaVia Chocolate Blueberry Bar left over from the review [link]. One box of Lean Cuisine Sesame Stir Fry with Chicken is 300 calories, 6 grams of total fat which is 9% of the recommended daily amount (RDA), only 1 gram of saturated fat and no trans fat, 13% of the RDA for cholesterol (40 mg), 28% of the recommended daily amount of sodium (680 mg - yikes), 20 grams of protein and 41 grams of total carbohydrates, which includes 5 grams of fiber (20% of the RDA) and 14 grams of sugars. This meal is also 6 Weight Watchers Points and you also get 70% of your vitamin A requirements, 30% vitamin C and 10% iron. I wish the sodium content wasn't so high, but overall I'm extremely pleased with this meal and I will be buying it again and again. Lean Cuisine can often be found on sale for around $2.50. I'm giving this 5 kisses and 2 thumbs up but watch your sodium intake. Comments
