Healthy Choice Fudge Bar
This review was done by Ann H. In her words, "I am a 20 year old from southern Louisiana who is currently a 3rd year Marketing major at the University of Southern Louisiana. I am a bonfide "healthy product foodie!" My ultimate goal is to work in the marketing and development department of a healthy food company...like Amy's or Kashi."

Healthy Choice Fudge Bar I have not had positive experiences with Healthy Choice products, but after reading the rave review from Nutritious Junk [link] about these Healthy Choice Chocolate Fudge Bars, I decided to try them for myself.

The verdict: These bars are "shimmy - like - you - have - ants - in - your - pants - good!" They are smooth, creamy, and chocolate-y. If I was given one without knowing that it was a "fudge" bar, I would definitely think that it was a full-fat chocolate ice cream bar. Delicious, two thumbs up and ahh-mazing! i heart this. My only gripe is that I wish it were larger (mostly because it was so good I wanted more). Next time I go to the store I am seriously going to buy 2 more boxes to hoard in my freezer for fear that there will be a Healthy Choice Fudge Bar famine once people catch on to how utterly terrific these bars are.

In addition to being delicious, the Healthy Choice Chocolate Fudge Bars are unbelievably low in calories, 80 to be exact, but there are more nutritional aspects to this bar that make it the mecca of all frozen novelties: It only has 1 gram of total fat and 13 grams of total carbohydrates, which includes only 2 grams of sugars (but no fiber). I believe these are suitable for low carb diets (hopefully someone will comment on this).

And yet another fantastic thing about these bars is that they are cheap! I bought a box containing 6 bars for $2.50 meaning each bar costs only 40 cents-ish! Yummy and under 100 calories - just the way I like my snacks. So Healthy Choice, thanks to your Fudge Bars, I will forget and forgive you for past misgivings in the healthy product realm, and officially promote you to the top of my list of favorite frozen novelties!

One final note: Reader, put on you running sneakers and run-run-run to your supermarket to get these bars!

As per your request, though I'm not a low-carber, my roommates are and I know the formula:

total carb - (fiber + sugar alchohols) = total net carbs. Usually people on this diet get a daily allowance of about 45-60 total net carbs, so this at 13 net carbs would be a bit of a splurge.

As for me...I have issues with lactose...tried anything dairy-free or aged that has the same flavor?

These bars ARE awesome! They're 100 calories though, not 80. Costco has a box of 18 bars for about $7, it's a really good deal!
