Edys Frozen Coconut Fruit Bars

Edy's Frozen Coconut Fruit BarsI am nuts about coconut! Give me a pina colada anytime, anywhere and I am a content girl. Therefore, when I with spotted the Edy's Frozen Coconut Fruit Bars in the freezer case of my local Albertsons Supermarket, I was giddy with excitement. I was actually so excited that I couldn't wait until I got home to try them so as soon as I got in my car, I ripped open the box and pulled a bar out.

My first impression was a positive one because the bars were of substantial size, not like some of the other wimpy little frozen fruit bars that are on the market. As I tore open the plastic wrapper, I was totally pumped about being greeted with the heavenly aroma of coconut! (OK, maybe a little bit of that smell was in my head but there was definitely some coconut notes wafting through the air). The Edy's Coconut bars also look really enticing; They are a perfect 'coconut white' color and you can actually see the little bits of coconut throughout the bar. And now for the taste: Oh joyous coconut, how ever do I love thee? YES, YES, YES! Smooth, creamilicious, and coconutti-ful is the best way that I can describe these bars. They are full of delicious bits of coconut. I am truly surprised that I managed to navigate back home because I was in such a state of coconut euphoria. I am totally in love with these bars and am not ashamed to say that one box containing 6 bars lasted me about 3 days!

One Coconut bar has 130 calories, 3 grams of total fat which includes 2.5 grams of saturated fat but no trans, 3 grams of protein and 22 grams of total carbohydrates, which includes 15 grams of sugars. Of course the bars are gluten free and nut allergen free. The ingredients and nutritional facts can be found [here] (this product does have milk in it - good to know if you are lactose intolerant).

(* note from Tanya): Also check out our 5 star review of Edy's Frozen Fruit Bar [here]. The bars cost anywhere from $2.50 to $4.99 (available on Amazon.com [link]) for a box of 6. Totally worth it - both Ann and I love this two thumbs up.

I LOVE these bars too!! I have to buy two boxes (12 bars) to last me the week! They are great after a workout! The taste is so fresh and takes you to the tropics!

The saturated fat found in coconut is good for you medium chain sat fat. In fact it's what makes coconuts healthy.

i am munching on one right now! They are absolutely positively the best tasting coconut bars on the market.

These actually do not taste good. If you've ever had the froz-fruit coconut bars, these pale in comparison.

I love Edys bars allnatural grape are so good. Ihave to have one every night before I go to bed.
