CocoaVia Chocolate Blueberry Snack Bar
CocoaVia Chocolate Blueberry Bar is smooth, crispy, dark chocolate goodness. The bar is crispy and if I had any complaints, it would be that although I can clearly see that there are blueberries in the bar, you hardly taste them, because the taste of the chocolate is so prevalent. But this bar is sure to satisfy any sweet or chocolate cravings you might have without giving up too many calories. One box of CocoaVia Chocolate Blueberry Snack Bar has 5 individually wrapped chocolate bars. Each bar is a serving and has 80 calories, 2 grams of total fat, which is 3% of the recommended daily amount, 1 gram of saturated fat, no cholesterol, 1 gram of protein and 13 grams of total carbohydrate, which includes 4% of the recommended daily amount of fiber (1 gram) and 8 grams of sugar. You can also get 25% of your daily calcium requirement, 20% vitamin E and 15% vitamin C, folic acid and vitamins B6 and B12. One box of 5 costs $6.00 which is reasonable if you have a bad candy habit and you are looking to lower your calories. I hesitated a long time before I bought these because of the price, but I think if I had a sweet tooth, I would definitely snack on these instead of a KitKat or Snickers bar. Comments

Lola said: I love these. Super yummy! I especially like the chocolate covered almonds and plain chocolate bars. Friends that don't like dark chocolate enjoyed the original chocolate bars.

I haven't tried the blueberry bar yet, but I did pick up some samples of pretty much everything else they sell at the Natural Products expo of the weekend. This is a great topic to cover. There was a lot of hype at the expo about chocolate being health food - the good thing with Cocoavia is that the price probably helps as much to control the portions as the packaging. (Thanks for the linky love!)

NetSweat said: You all are right, for someone who has a chocolate craving, there are far worst options than this. We prefer the nugget size versions of hershey's dark chocolate, however. At about 50 calories, it doesn't bust the gut, but it is just big enough to provide a daily dose of chocolate.

We were a sent a box of these at the office, and I agree, they're quite tasty. And since chocolate is supposed to be a heart-healthy food these days, why not indulge?
