Michael Seasons Lite Cheese Curls
'Organic' cornmeal is the first ingredient and from the gorgeous packaging to the organic ingredients, Michael Season's seems to try to be a bit more 'high brow' than the dollar store brand cheese curls. But let us now kid ourselves - this is a very processed snack. If it would save me a few cents on the price, then I would vote that you forgo the 'organic' ingredients. This is nowhere near what I would consider a 'natural' product in the end. Michael Seasons Lite Cheese Curls provides 130 calories for a 1 cup serving size. There is also 4.5 grams of fat, which is 7% of the recommended daily amount, 0.5 grams of saturated fat which is 3% of the RDA, no trans fat, only 9% of the RDA for sodium (200 mg), 2 grams of protein and 20 grams total carbohydrates which includes 1 gram of sugars and 2 grams of fiber (7% of the RDA). This cost $2.25 for a big 6 ounce bag. While I thought it was just okay, I suspect that people with a more sophisticated palate than mine may appreciate it a little better. A gluten free snack that I would buy over this one is Lundberg Rice Chips [read the review]. Comments
