Kashi GoLean Chocolate Peanut Crunchy Protein and Fiber Bar

Kashi GoLean Bar The Kashi GoLean Chocolate and Fiber Bar is an all natural bar made with crispy whole grain cereal and a bottom layer of chocolate. GOLEAN Crunchy bars are designed for an "optimized glycemic response" with slow release carbohydrates to balance blood sugar, and protein and fiber to help you stay satisfied.

The bars actually taste more like real peanuts rather than peanut butter, and since I don't like peanut butter, that was a good thing. They are sweet and crunchy - maybe a little too sweet. The bar weighs 50 grams which is the perfect size for snacking. I did have a bit of a candy bar /peanut brittle 'vibe', but this has less calories, less sugar and less fat than any candy bar this size would.

One bar is 50 grams and has 180 calories, 5 grams of total fat and 2 grams of saturated fat which are 10% of the recommended daily amount (RDA), no trans fat or cholesterol, 10% of the RDA for sodium, 9 grams of protein and 30 grams of total carbohydrates which includes 13 grams of sugar and 24% of the RDA for fiber (6 grams).

The bar was $0.99, which is a very good price for bars this size. I have only seen the 28 gram bas for under $1.00. The high fiber also makes this bar attractive. Other high fiber bars include the Gnu Foods Bar with 50% [read the review], Fiber One has 35% [read the review], and Kelloggs All Bran has 20% [read the review].

These are hands down my bet for the best bars... the Kashi chocolate almond bars tied, for those who really like their chocolate. I notice that while they may not be quite as fortified as some other bars, they're filling and un-gooey/un-chalky... I feel I'm eating something that actually qualifies as real, and yummy, food!

very delciious
but im eating one now and it says it only has 150 calories.
just FYI,
but still, amazinglyy good. like a candy bar. i eat one everyday!

They are good meeting fuel. I keep a stack in my desk.
