Healthy Choice Creamy Garlic Shrimp
The Healthy Choice Creamy Garlic Shrimp meal is only 280 calories and 5 Weight Watchers Points. There is also 5 grams of total fat and 1.5 grams of saturated fat which are both only 8% of the recommended daily amount (RDA), 25% of the RDA for sodium (600 mg), 13 grams of protein and 44 grams of total carbohydrates which includes 16 grams of sugars and 5 grams of fiber (20% of the RDA). Most frozen dinners have 25% of sodium, so I am no longer surprised at the amount, althouh I wish they would lower it. I thought the nutrition of this meal was pretty good and maybe I would add a small salad or some rice to make a really full dinner at under 500 calories. I would definitely buy this again, especially since there was a $1.00 off 4 meals coupons in the grocery stores this week - but Healthy Choice goes on sale often. Comments

Sunny said: I have been a bit scared to try a frozen meal with shrimp in it. There's just something about microwaving shrimp that puts me off, but this review might change my mind. What I don't agree with is the cherry crisp. I LOVE it! Now, not many frozen meals provide a dessert, so I don't have a lot of comparisons, but I still totally look forward to the cherry crisp!

(When the box doesn't fit, I frequently place the entree into my lunch box, with the directions.) My shrimp didn't happen to be as manly as yours, although they were a good bite each. I agree with your assesment of HC's fruit+syrup+oatmeal "desserts" as seeming like dodging the dessert question somehow. Although I prefer their apple "cobbler", the cherry is quite edible. I also found the garlic to be just right, not too much. Thanks! |
