Healthy Choice Fiesta Chicken
I would rate this meal as average. The best thing about it was the chicken. There was quite a bit of chicken strips and they were smothered in a slightly sweet but otherwise unremarkable sauce. I thought they should have mixed the mixed corn with the rice, because the veggies by themselves were very bland and swimming in water. The worse thing about the meal was the "caramel apple crisp dessert" which is basically lots of syrup and oats, and a little bit of apple chunks. Am I the only one that thinks HC should do away with this in their meals, and instead add more food? There are 370 calories in the Healthy Choice Fiesta Chicken meal, 4 grams of total fat and 1 gram of saturated fat which are about 5% of the recommended daily amount, 35 mg of cholesterol which is significant to note since it is over 10% (actually 12%), 450 mg of sodium which makes it one of HC's lower sodium content meals at 19% of the RDA, 20 grams of protein and 62 grams of total carbohydrates which includes 19 grams of sugar and 7 grams of fiber (28% of the RDA). This meal is also 7 WW points. I thought this meal was 'okay' like I said before, and the nutrition could be better, but Abi over at HeatEatReview.com didn't care for it at all and she only gave it 1 star [read their review]. I have definitely had better tasting HC meals, like the Healthy Choice Chicken Margherita [read the review] and the Blackened Chicken [link]. Comments

Jackie said: I don't like the Healthy Choice brand at all. I find all of their meals watery and the veggies do not usually mix well with the taste of the other parts of the meal. I've tried chicken and mashed potatoes and also the fetuccine alfredo. Both were horrible :( |
