Lipton Herbal Peppermint Tea

Before "green tea" was all the rage I would only buy the 500 count box of black tea, but now black tea just doesn't do it for me anymore. I decided to try Lipton Herbal Peppermint Tea since I remember growing up and having my mom actually brew peppermint to make us some "mint" as we called it. Mint was the "cure all" for every tummy ache and upset stomach in most Jamaican households.

I absolutely love, LOVE this tea! Lipton Herbal Peppermint Tea is light, refreshing and the peppermint flavor is not too strong - in fact, maybe it stand to be a little bit stronger. It is 100% natural and naturally caffeine free. The ingredients: peppermint leaves. One of the reasons I chose this tea to try was because a few of the other teas I looked at had added flavorings - call me crazy but I just want plain old fashioned "grind up some leaves" tea!

There are no calories, no fat, no carbs - no nothing. Tea is one of the ways I survive over eating during the holidays! I usually add 2 packs of Splenda and 1 pack of sugar to this tea, which makes my cup about 4 - 6 calories. Other people add honey, or just go with more sugar, because this tea is not naturally sweet.

I have to give this 5 stars! At Amazon, you can get 6 boxes (20 packs in each box) for only $11.95! That sounds like a good deal to me.

Did you try the pyramid teabag? It's also a new product from them. I seldom drink teabag ever since I start buying loose leaf from teacuppa.com but might want to try the new lipton pyramid teabag :)

If you want it stronger, let it steep for half an hour to an hour. Do what I do, brew it then leave it on your desk & forget about it. It will be nice & strong by the time you add more hot water to it to wake it back up. :)
