Lean Cuisine Glazed Turkey Tenderloins
Lets' start with the good. The roasted turkey with the sauce, dressing and cranberries is excellent! I especially love the cranberries as an added accent - I would have never thought of that and it works. Unfortunately, what's not so good is the whipped sweet potatoes. They weren't sweet and had a starchy taste. If you are going to do "sweet" potatoes, believe me - you had better do them right! It's a shame too that such a big part of the meal was bad, because the rest of it was pretty darn good. There are 260 calories in Lean Cuisine's Glazed Turkey Tenderloins, 5 grams of total fat and 1.5 grams of saturated fat - which are approximately 8% of the recommended daily amounts, 28% of the RDA for sodium (670 grams), 13 grams of protein and 41 grams of total carbohydrates, which includes 4 grams of fiber (17% of the RDA) and 20 grams of sugar. Most frozen dinners contribute about 25% of sodium to the diet, and I consider anything above that high (for people without a family history of high blood pressure). So this Glazed Turkey is pushing it with the sodium. I did like it though, and if they could improve on the taste of the sweet potato, I think Lean Cuisine would have a winner with this one. Comments
