Lean Cuisine Steak Cheddar and Mushroom Panini
When I tried the Chicken, Spinach, & Mushrooms Panini I loved it! The bread was crispy even though the sandwich was microwaved and the toppings really blended well together [read the review]. I just assumed that all the different Panini's would also taste pretty good, but I was proven wrong by the Lean Cuisine Steak, Cheddar and Mushroom Panini. This has "strips of beef steak with mushrooms, caramelized onions and cheese on sourdough bread." The bread is still crispy but not as crispy as with the chicken panini; the cheese tastes like the hateful melted processed cheese I used to have as a child; and the rest of the flavors aren't complementary - I couldn't tell whether I was eating pieces of steak or the mushrooms, especially since they were smothered with lots of that goopy cheese.
The Lean Cuisine Steak, Cheddar and Mushroom Panini has 300 calories, 9 grams of total fat which is 14% of the recommended amount, 4 grams of saturated fat (21%), 31% of the RDA for sodium (730 mg), 21 grams of protein and 33 grams of total carbohydrates which includes 3 grams of dietary fiber (14%) and 3 grams of sugars.
I bought this for $2.50 on sale, and while I loved the chicken panini, and I highly recommend it, I can't do the same for this 'Steak' one.

The Southwest-style Chicken Panini is my favorite of this collection
I have to agree; I got one of these on sale a couple of weeks ago, and it was a pleasant surprise!
I hit Post by accident... the rest of my thought was that the Chicken panini was, indeed, better than this one.
where are you? I miss your posts.
are you going to write again soon? please, please?
I didn't think these were that bad.. I do like the chicken ones better, I agree with that, but I would give this one at least a 3.5.
