Get your Healthy Eating, Dieting & Fitness fix right here! Part one of the 7th edition is all about what people were saying about fitness and dieting.
Fitness
Andrew Leahey presents 14 Days to Fitness posted at Leahey.org. Andrew has decided to start a fitness challenge, and I'm going to participate. His idea is for 14 days of physical self improvement, starting on Saturday the 16th of September 2006. "Friday, I will weigh-in and attempt to complete an array of short exercises throughout the day. Friday night, I will email all those who join this fitness experiment (by emailing 14days@leahey.org) exactly what I completed. Your goal is to weigh in, and duplicate exactly what I did on Saturday. This will go on for a period of 14 days, at which point email me your results, and they will be posted at the end of this entry." Let's support Andrew by joining his challenge. Email him at 14days@leahey.org.
PopFitnez presents Chest Workouts: The Best Chest Exercises posted at iFitandHealthy.com.
Aleksandr Kavokin, MD, PhD presents Walking Quiz and an Exercise quiz posted at RDoctor Medical Portal. I got 6 right on the walking quiz. I actually only knew 3 and guessed the other 3 right. It was good information though. (This quiz does not work properly if you are using Firefox or Netscape browser so use Internet Explorer).
Dieting
Carmen presents The ELF diet: Eat Less Fatty! posted at Mom to the Screaming Masses. All I can say is WOW - what a great article. Simple AND effective.
Violeta presents Blood types and nutrition posted at All Tips and Tricks. Violets presents information on the "Dieting by Blood Type." This was an interesting summary of the diet, but the overall diet itself sounds like bull$hady to me.
Kelby Carr presents The French Diet posted at France Travel Guide, saying, "The French eat rich foods, drink lots of wine and smoke. So why are they so thin and fit? Recent news reports have touted the wonders of the so-called French diet. Just what is the secret to the French paradox?"
Alexander Becker presents The WOW Diet: Going Vegan on the Warrior Diet posted at WOW, saying, "The Warrior Diet is based on undereating for 20 hours and overeating that one big meal at night." Alexander put up a sample diet in which he exercises at 7:30pm. This may work for some people, and I'm not sure what you all are doing in the gym, but after not eating all day, I would surely faint if I worked out - it has happened before. I do 1 hour cardio class and 45 minutes weights.
Isabella Mori presents Achieving weight loss by writing down what we eat posted at change therapy. Isabella actually states what we should write down, "write down when we eat, what we feel, exactly what we do, and how we can substitute unhealthy eating behaviours with more helpful, healthy behaviours."
Joel Fuhrman, MD presents A Global Ban On Junk-Food? posted at Disease Proof, saying, "Recently a news item came out about people calling for a global ban on junk-food. In this post I reference a couple news items and provide some of Dr. Fuhrman's insight on nutrition and obesity."
Joseph presents Ideas on how to lose weight posted at Help with everything. "Eat breakfast like a king, lunch like a prince, and dinner like a pauper."
Midnight Raider presents Little Ways To Cut Big Calories posted at Midnight Raider. I am a huge advocate of "cutting calories without eating less" so thanks for these tips Midnight Raider!
