Jif To Go is an absolute no-no. Comments

coupon man said: those are high-fat, but would be really convenient to take backpacking. when i go backpacking, i usually buy the smallest jar of peanut butter possible, so its easy to pack. when you're exercising all day, the calories and fat won't matter much. if you're sitting on your ass watching MTV, different story.

Walker_OK said: You can purchase the individual containers online with only 3/4 oz of peanut butter. The site is minimus.biz, and they sell small containers of everything. PB is not inherently bad simply because it contains fat, portion control is the key. The 3/4 oz. container is just right for one apple or 1/2 of a bagel. They travel good too and are great for backpacking. |

Peanut butter can be a very healthful snack item. I would rather see people have a peanut butter cup( ideally with some apple slices) for a snack rather then a 3 pack of tastykakes or a .99 bag of corn chips. it is not always just about the numbers- at least not in the real world!
