Jell-O Fat Free Devils Food Pudding Snack
I must preface this review by stating that I am not a big fan of "pudding snacks" and after trying Jello Fat Free Pudding Snack ... I'm still not a big fan, but I can see why people like them. I tried the Devils Food flavor, which means chocolate, chocolate and more chocolate - i.e. it has a very strong chocolate taste (really more of a strong cocoa). The texture is like a thick gel, soft and just dissolves in your mouth. These pudding snacks taste as good as any other that I've had - but as I said before, I just am not a big fan of eating foods with this type of texture. But, I preferred this Jell-O Fat Free Pudding Snack to the Jello Smoothie Snacks and both have the same amount of calories and sugars.
Each pudding cup has 100 calories, no fat and 16 grams of sugars (22 grams total carbohydrates). The amount of sugar is less than in your average 12 ounce can of soda, but this pudding snack still tastes sweet. This snack is good if you have a craving for something sweet, but don't want too much sugar, and the portion size is just right so that one cup should be enough to satisfy you.
One pack of 6 pudding cups (4 ounces each) was $2.50 when bought at Stop & Shop, and if you are lactose intolerant, be aware that Jello Pudding Snack is made from (skim) milk - it's the first ingredient. Since I don't really have a sweet tooth, I still prefer Motts Unsweetened Apple Sauce and Dole Fruit Parfait as snacks.

I like these pudding cups alright, but I think that the sugar free version is better. They have a little fat (1-2g per serving), so they taste creamier. However, if you're not a fan of Splenda/artificial sweeteners, I would stick with the Fat Free.
I'd like to point out that the regular Jello pudding cup (e.g. chocolate vanilla swirl - yummy!) has only 10 more calories and 1.5 grams of fat and tastes WORLDS better. Going for the "diet" versions of things isn't always the best route - when it tastes better, it is much more satisfying and helps you stay on track. If are dieting, it can also help your "diet" more closely mimic the "diet" that you will use to maintain your weight. I ALWAYS compare diet and non-diet versions of all products to see what is worth it and what is not, based on taste and nutritional information. In all fairness, the 1.5 grams of fat is saturated, but it's a small percentage of your total fat for the day, which is okay if you are mindful of what you are eating. In my experience, diets partly fail because people try to be too healthy.
I actually tried this yesterday and I am not a big fan of Jello pudding snack. What I did was, I added some peanut butter and OMGosh it tasted jush like a healthy peanut butter cup. I of course have a sweet tooth so I was very excited hehehe. I am always trying to find a healthy alternative to satisfy my cravings.
Is there gluten in sugar free pudding?
No Gelatin - the ingredients (from FreshDirect.com) are: Skim Milk, Water, Sugar, Modified Food Starch, Cocoa Processed With Alkali, Contains Less Than 1% Of Salt, Sodium Stearoyl Lactylate (For Smooth Texture), Sodium Alginate, Calcium Phosphate, Natural And Artificial Flavor, Artifical Color, Vitamin A Palmitate, Vitamin D.
I am still trying to figure out if there is gluten in jell-o also! FYI: Gluten can be found in modified food starch, artificial color or artificial flavors...
I also need to know if there is gluten present in the pudding....
