Diet Trash: SoBe Life Water
Diet Trash is about the food products you might eat because you think you're doing something better for your diet, but you'll be surprised to know, they're not.
//edit // I missed the news earlier, but apparently Glaceau Vitamin Water sued Pepsico's SoBe Life Water. "... in an attempt to take over or disrupt Glaceau's growth, SoBe Lifewater copied the formula, the colors, the flavors, the ingredients, the sweetener type (one never before used by PepsiCo) ..." [Source: Bevnet]. It also appears that SoBe Life Water settled with Glaceu's Vitamin Water by "agreeing to change the label and cap used with SoBe Life Water." That bit of news was courtesy of The Nutrition and Dietary Supplement Law Blog [link]. Comments

Helen said: Vitamins and antioxidants in water is rediculous......eat some organic fruit for that. Pure natural products are the only way to go! For the most natural water I have found visit tasmanianrain.com.

Sandy said: I agree that people should use plain water instead of Vitamin or SoBe water, but instead of buying iced tea or a soda, especially diet soda, when you're craving it, this sweet, "juice-like" drink is just a refreshing thing to drink, as a substitute for soda or other drinks, but NOT for water.

Sandy said: I do agree also that it's ridiculous to get people to just DRINK plain water. There's sparkling and a whole bunch of flavored water to substitute for natural water. Even mineral water, the "heavy" tasting water, isn't too good for you, though it has minerals. You already eat all the minerals you need, so when you drink, you want to something with a light taste. Mineral water is not necessarily bad for you, but natural water is better for when you eat, or if you're full.

Vickie said: I also have been drinking SoBe life water because I am one of those many people who cannot drink just plain water. The new Life Water is TERRIBLE and leaves an after taste. Now I have to find something else. Why can't they leave well enough alone???

Weight Loss said: I agree. Yep diet trash. I think that people are clutching at the straws if they think that "diet water " is going to help there weight management. Maybe just stick to good old water if you are concerned about calories.

They definitely copied Glaceau even right down to similarities in the label. I know you didn't like either but which did you like best?
