Lean Cuisine Penne Pasta with Tomato Basil Sauce
I was a bit disappointed in this meal. Lean Cuisine says it's, "penne pasta with sun dried tomatoes, basil and olive oil in a delicate tomato sauce" and there's really nothing more to it than that. This was the least filling frozen meals I have had to date. Maybe Lean Cuisine could include a bit of french bread or toast, but this meal is just too plain on it's own. Even the taste was bland, despite the tomato sauce. It was just like eating a handful of pasta and calling it a meal.
Nutritionally, there are 270 calories, 3 grams of fat, 0.5 grams of saturated fat, 220 mg of sodium (9% of the recommended daily amount), 570 mg of potassium, which is a good 17% of your daily requirement, 4 grams of fiber and 9 grams of protein. That's pretty good nutrition, especially the low sodium, since most frozen meals tend to have too much.
So good nutrition, but not very filling and a very bland taste. There are many more Lean Cuisine products to choose from, and I probably won't be purchasing this one again.
