Favorite Food and Diet Links

I thought I would share links to some of my favorite websites that deal with food and eating healthy.

Healthy Eating:
Erin Eats: Erin has healthy recipes on her website, along with the calorie content. What I especially love about this website is that the recipes are everyday recipes made with common ingredients. If, or when, I get back into the habit of cooking more often, I will be trying a lot of her recipes.

Hungry-Girl.com: I subscribe to this daily newsletter, and it is well worth it. The newletter has new food news on Mondays, "Bite It or Fight It" on Tuesdays, answers to frequently asked questions on Wednesdays, reviews on Thursdays, and a little commentary on different foods on fridays. Great read!

Food and Dieting News:
Diet-Blog.com: If you want the latest in diet and weight loss related news then this is the website for you. An added bonus is the always interesting comments.

Slashfood: Slashfood is updated many times daily with news and information related to food, cooking, and dieting. Always interesting, and keeps me up to date with what's going on - and what people think - about food issues.

More food:
Weight of Evidence: In this blog, Regina Wilshire deconstructs scholarly journal articles, offering insightful critque about the methods and conclusions drawn. This is a must read if you want to understand journal articles - especially when the media gets a hold of them and draws some odd ball conclusions.

The Impulsive Buy: Marvo claims he is a "quasi reviewer" but this guy can write. He reviews any and everything you can think of including foods - some healthy and some not-so-healthy too. His reviews are always interesting, funny, and sometimes TMI (too much information Marvo!) And I love them. I finally got around to adding the RSS feed to my list because I was tired of being the 50th person to comment.

Cheap Eats: Let me tell you folks, I may operate this healthy food reviews website, but being a grad student is synonymous with having very little cash flow. I LOVE Cheap Eats, because of the reviews of ... cheap foods. Okay, so some stuff may not be all that healthy, and I stay away from those (I really do), but this website is a must.
