So thank you Anutie J, for introducing Aunt Jemima Butter Lite Syrup. But you know that sometimes, when you mess with the best, it turns out to be really bad? Well, no worries here! Auntie J is on top of her game with this one. I had it with the Van's Organic Soy Flax Waffles [read the review] and it tastes great (so do the waffles). It's really thick and sweet - but don't use too much, because it gets to be a little too sweet after too much. There are 100 calories and 25 grams of sugar per 1/4 cup serving. In all fairness, I poured out a 1/4 cup, and then I added the amount of syrup that I would normally add to the waffles, and I only used about 1/2 of the 1/4 cup (1/8th cup), and I was being generous. So that would amount to 50 calories and 12 grams of sugars. Now, you know that syrup is not really the stuff for diets - but a least there are some options that make it 'not so bad.' Taste:

Isn't it funny that I had commented you talking about this with the Van's Waffles review? I use honey--but I will probably try this lite syrup sometime. Regular syrup I would never use again--come on-- 1/4 of a cup...210 calories? That is just ridiculous! Thank you for reviewing this!
