McDonald's Breakfast
Why is everybody always on McDonald's case about nutrition? I have almost felt sorry for them in the past - that is until I saw the nutrition info on their breakfast items. There is almost nothing under 400 calories. The worst offender: Hotcakes (pancakes) with syrup and butter. The two you get are giving you 700 calories, 33 grams fat (50% of your daily value), 4 grams trans fat, 620 mg sodium (26% of the daily value) and 45 grams of sugar.
Next up: The McGriddle Sandwiches - I almost cried when I found out how bad these were, because they are so tasty! The sausage, egg and cheese McGriddle is 560 calories, 32 grams of fat (49% of your daily value) and 1290 mg sodium (54% of your daily value). The bacon, egg and cheese McGriddle is 450 calories, 21 grams of fat (32% of your daily value) and 1260 mg sodium.
A sausage biscuit with egg: 500 calories, 32 grams of fat, and 1080 mg sodium; sausage, egg McMuffin: 450 calories, 26 grams of fat, 930 mg sodium; bacon, egg and cheese biscuit: 440 calories, 24 grams of fat, and 1250 mg sodium. And don't even think about getting that warm cinnamon roll, which is 420 calories and 18 grams of fat; or the deluxe cinnamon roll which is 590 calories and 24 grams of fat.
If you must have something for breakfast at McDonald's, then your best bet is the sausage burrito, which is still 300 calories, 16 grams of fat, and 760 mg sodium (32% of daily recommendations); or an english muffin, which is 150 calories 2 grams of fat and 260 mg sodium, with some scrambled eggs, 180 calories, 11 grams fat and 180 mg sodium.

I like to get an Egg McMuffin w/no ham. 11 grams of fat & not sure how many calories, but for $2 it keeps me full all morning at work.
My sister and I call the McGriddles "heart attack in a bag" lol
When I was in Michigan a few years back, someone had made a mistake on the signage out front - it said "Try our new McGirdles." LOL
I think you overlooked the EGG McMUFFIN, which is only 300 calories and 12 grams of fat. Skip the processed cheese, and it's only 250 calories and 9 grams of fat. It tastes just fine with just the egg and ham (canadian bacon). I also like Del Taco's little 69-cent breakfast burrito at only 250 calories and 11 grams of fat. It's just plain and simple: one egg, a little cheese, and red sauce wrapped in tortilla. However, I try to avoid fast-food breakfasts, but when I'm in a rush...these lower-calorie items will do.
Come on lets get real. If you are worried about calories then skip fast food all together and choose a healthy alternative. I only eat McDonalds if i am in such a rush and nothing else is available at the time. I always feel sick afterwards. The only thing that is decent is the healthy choice menu's in Australia. They are pretty good.
Uh... DUH. Oh no, how DARE fast food be unhealthy. If people don't like it DON'T EAT THERE. Why blame the company when they're as open as possible about the nutritional value (or lack thereof) of their food. The ones in my area even post the calories up next to the prices. Get a little realistic people. If you want a healthy breakfast make it your own damn self.
