I like the flavor of aspartame, but it gives me incredible headaches, so I avoid it at all costs. It's a total bummer when you're watching your calories.

Does this tea contain caffeine? How high is the sodium compared to the daily recommended dosages?

i bought this yesterday at the grocery store expecting it to taste like dirt but it turned out to be delicious. i am a fan. i usually drink fuze diet green tea but this is much better and less expensive. i got a 12 pack with 16.9 oz bottles for $4.75

Lipton Diet Green Tea with Citrus contain 11 mg of caffeine per serving which is much lower than soda

I've been drinking the green tea flavored with citrus for about a month now and keep it in stock at home. As others have said it tastes great and in not overly sweet.
But what is with the slots in the neck of the bottle. Try drinking from the bottle and it dribbles down your chin.

You guys in the USA are very lucky, in Canada we pay 5.97 (canadian) for 12 cans which I think contain 12 oz or 355 ml. I have not seen the bottles anywhere yet but I sure wish they would bring the price down a bit as this is more than double what we can get a case of soda for.

how much caffeine does Lipton Green Tea have? I love it but am very sensitive to caffeine. It seems that every time I drink it I am awake all hrs of the night.

I also love the lipton diet green tea both citrus and wild berry. I will continue to drink them however i do wish they would replace the sweetener with something that was better for you. However i do realize that if they did that it would probably change the calories and everything else involved. I found it in Walmart- Quincy, IL

I must agree that caffeine is not listed on the label; this is misleading. I too am usually caffeine sensitive, but even after drinking the diet green tea all day, I haven't had trouble sleeping.

It has become my drink of choice now. I love the level of sweetness and the wonderful citrus taste!

I'm 16 and am a complete soda addict...but i saw this is stator bros one day and since it was so cheap, I decided to give it a try...I loved the citrus flavored but not as much as the green tea with mixed berry or the white tea with rasberry...you can get both those favors in diet... What I specially loved about the drink was that it wasn't fake tasting or too sweet...this is a way healthier alternative to soda and is a lot cheaper....

please start making green tea with splenda,as research is showing aspertame to be VERYbad for your health, it has proven to give rats very large tumors after 2 years, but i do love the diet green tea, but everyone in our county has seen this research and is cutting out the aspertame

why can you not answer if this drink has caffeen or not...some of us need to know.....it is a really good drink and the right size bottle.....

The caffeine content has already been stated several times in previous posts its 11mg for every 8oz .

I drank a cup of green tea once and I had a unpleasent experience. I then came across Lipton Diet Green Tea w/Citrus by accident on my vacation and found it does have the same taste as regular ole green tea but not as bitter or sharp. The citrus gives it a nice added kick to the tea and the tea is so good no need for equal or splenda. So I can drink up to 4 bottles a day spread out instead of regular ole soda.

My question is: Will you get the same benifits for your health like other green teas? Some say Lipton is a soft drink and not a tea.

I dont know the facts but its a alternative to your usual soda drink but I also believe it to be a drink that suggests health that is very similar to a soda alternative but who knows what to drink today as one day water is good for you so many times per day and then they tell you its got so many chemicals in the cleansing of it that it may be very unhealthy as its even said if you drink tap water it may have been filtered about fourteen times through sewage before we again get it filtered to our tap and the same issue with designer waters who really knows life is short and do the best you can!

My wife just bought a 24 case of the larger diameter 16.9 fl. oz. The diet tea has been watered down. I thought it was just me but my wife & 3 friends stated the same. We have bought a lot of this tea & this tea is VERY weak. I could not buy this product again if this continues. I know the diameter has nothing to do with the taste but this was the first case of the larger diam. and it is really bad.

Sure it works for losing weight--as long as you're expending more calories than you're consuming.

I gave up soda (loaded with empty calories) and started drinking Diet Lipton Green Tea full-time--ended up losing 100+ pounds over the ensuing year.

So, naturally, I swear by this stuff.

Lipton Te Verde, made in MX: what are the calories and sugar content? Thus far, I have not seen the DIET Green Tea in MX.

Just wondering why you can't use another sweetner other than the killer ASPERTAME.this tea is the best drink I have ever tasted,but I am going to stop drinking it because of the bad effects of aspertame.

Personally, I hated the taste. It was sticky and sickly sweet in my mouth. Eventually I couldn't even choke it down because I felt like I was trying to swallow syrup. And guess what? Look at the ingredients...HIGH FRUCTOSE CORN SYRUP!!! Nasty chemicalized stuff...so it started out as corn but that is NOT what is once it earns the name high fructose corn syrup. Yuck...and sweeteners other than sugar are terrible for you and give many people headaches, including myself. Sorry for my rant and capitalized word yelling, I'm not usually like that. :p but certain things just bug me...lol.

I ENJOY YOUR GREEN TEA, BUT I HAVE A PROBLEM OPENING THE BOTTLES, I HAVE TO USE PLYERS...WHAT'S UP WITH THAT???

i love the tea but i am worried about the sodium,what can i do about high blood pressure?

Em wrote on 10/27/08 that the tea contained high fructose corn syrup..I am a Diabetic (31 years and my sugar is still fine )I did not see high fructose on the label...I only drank 8 ounces ,( just bought it )yesterday , and my sugar was high today..so I tested it today.I Tested my sugar..Drank 8 ounces..Waited 10 minutes..Tested my sugar again..It was up 50 points..Thank you EM..Lipton can keep their green tea

aspartame is actually really bad for you, i stay away from it as much as possible. you're better off buying Green Tea in a more natural form. The more a product is processed, the more nutritional value it loses.

I've been a type 1 diabetic for 43 years and have used all of the sugar substitutes since I was 8 years old (cyclamates through aspartame) and have led an extremely healthy life. No blindness, no cancers, nothing. Perhaps I'm just a very lucky individual but I'll stick by the substitutes and am thankful that we are able to use them as diabetics for tastier low-cal foods and drinks. The green tea bottle does list the caffeine content on the very bottom line of the label under nutrition facts.

I purchased a 12 pack of diet Lipton Sparkling green tea/strawberry kiwi. The main reason for purchasing is that I love strawberry kiwi flavor. I am sorry to inform you that neither my husband or myself can drink this. It really tastes bad. I purchased from Food Lion in Roebuck this past Saturday ad the product seems to be within date and everything. Not sure what the problem is but it almost tastes like medicine and no strawberry kiwi taste.I have tried other lipton products in the past and have really enjoyed--do not understand. We stocked the Lipton Diet Green Tea at our office. EVERYONE complained about how much trouble it was to open. I bought a gallon container and ended up having to saw the lid off.

The green tea is delicious and is good for you, but the aspartame and acesulfame K, which is not. I now drink the Arizona Green tea - which contains splenda and is cheaper. Think of that - a healthy product that is actually less expensive than one that contriubutes to millions of carcenogenics that your body has to fight off daily. I really hate that they don't switch to the healthier ingredients - and they will tell you it does not matter - however, go thru a few chemo treatments then get back to me about what matters. It is all about dollars and cents - not your health - so don't be fooled.
