Special K Low Carb Cereal
Nutritionally, this is very good. Unfortunately, this doesn't make up for the lackluster taste. There are only 100 calories per 3/4 cup serving, or 125 calories per cup of cereal (add 40 calories for half a cup of skim milk). There 's not much fat (3 grams total, 0.5 grams saturated), 5 grams of fiber or 20% of daily recommendations - excellent - and only 2 grams of sugar. There are 20-35% of many vitamins and minerals, and 9 grams of net carbs. Unfortunately, I have yet to come across any cereals with great taste aimed towards low carbers.

theFrog said: I love this cereal, and I'm not on a low carb diet - I bought it because it was lower in sugar and higher in protien than the regular Special K. Then again, I'm not really into super sweet cereals. However, if the main complaint is sweetness, why not add a packet of splenda?

Strangely enough, I absolutely love this cereal. I love it so much that I went on a diet for a week eating nothing but this and fat free milk, and I lose six pounds. I've never tried the other varieties of Special K, however.
