General Foods International French Vanilla Cappuccino Coolers
General Foods International Cappuccino Cooler is a tube of drink mix which you add to a cup of milk, stir and drink! The ingredients in the tube are simply sugar, instant coffee, artificial flavor and milk protein. This product should get an award for being one of the shortest labels with easy to recognize ingredients for any packaged food or beverage product.
The taste is excellent. I tried the French Vanilla flavor, from which you definitely get the coffee taste without it being overpowering. This makes a delicious, flavored coffee drink and once which I think you'll enjoy whether you coffee is a regular habit, or you're the occasional coffee drinker. I know on hot summer days, I sometimes just can't bear to get a hot drink, and this is the perfect compromise.
A packet of General Foods International French Vanilla Cappuccino Coolers drink mix is 60 calories, mostly from the 14 grams of sugar. Yikes - they definitely need to cut back on this! Plus, don't forget you have to add a cup of milk - fat free is the recommendation - but even that will further increase the calories, to about 150.
The cappuccino coolers come in a box with 6 individual tubes, which is priced at around $3.50. Instead of having it as a plain drink with just milk, you can make a milkshake using ice cream, and may we recommend Breyers fat-free ice cream. (Click for the recipe from Kraft). Another recipe, this time from Nabisco shows you how to make an Oreo Cappuccino Frappe (blend the cappuccino cooler mix with milk, ice cubes and crumpled Oreo cookies). May we suggest you forgo the Oreo cookies for a healthier alternative.

Thanks for leaving a comment in response to my post at ProBlogger, Tanya! You have a beautiful site. And, I must say most of the food you feature looks pretty yummy including this coffee drink. I'm no coffee snob. I drink instant too.
It sounds a little scary to me. I'm a little afraid of cramy boxed drinks. Speaking of boxed foods, did anyone see the Sandra Lee Megamix on Bloghungry.com?
I like to make the hazelnut cooler into a syrup and then pour it over my chocolate ice cream and it resembles a chocolate iced coffee that you'd get at a Starbucks. Oh and the Wal-Marts in Tennessee has them for around $2.50.
I live in Nashville, TN and just bought a box of this for $1.82 at Walmart! Where do they get this $3.50 per box stuff??
