Breyers Light Double Churned Vanilla and Almond Ice Cream Bar

Double Churn ItDamn, damn, damn, damn, damn!!!! Do you get how good this is yet?! This is so good, that only with lots of willpower can you only eat one at a time. Thank God the box only came with 6 bars. Is it the 'Double Churned" business - just what exactly is that anyway? Forget it - I don't care - it's something that makes Breyer's Vanilla and Almond Ice cream bars taste .... damn good! There is a chocolate coating over the vanilla ice cream part. This chocolate coating has the almonds in it, and somehow - although it's like a harder outer shell, it manages to melt as soon as you put it in your mouth. And the almonds just add an extra little crunchiness to the chocolate coating. This bar somehow manages to never get ice crystals on the outside, which is a problem I have with some ice cream bars and popsicles. The ice cream part is average, but really, put vanilla ice cream together with chocolate and almonds, and some 'double churning' and Breyers has a winner!

Word of warning: Invite 5 friends over so that there will be no leftovers, i.e. no temptation.> You knew I had to get to the nutrition - didn't you? I really didn't want to look myself - a little bit scared of what I was going to find - and to be honest, this tasted so good that I really didn't want to know the truth. But in the end, what kind of reviewer would I be if I didn't give you details. There are 170 calories per bar, 9 grams fat (14% of the daily value), 5 grams of saturated fat (25%), no trans fat, and 15 grams of sugars (4 Weight Watchers Points if you're interested).

Not that bad - except for greedy folks like me who had o have 2. Unfortunately, this cannot qualify as a regular buy for me, but will instead be an occasional indulgence.

These bars are AWESOME - I need to stop eating one a night. That's not good, but if you want a treat that actually tastes good - get them. They are amazing.
