Laughing Cow Light Spreadable Original Swiss Cheese Flavor Wedges
Forget what you think you know is swiss cheese. You won't find any hole-y, yellow, thin cheese slices here. Instead, The Laughing Cow, (don't you just love that company name? We do!) is in a round container, which you open up to see 8 triangular wedges. Each wedge of cheese is a white, creamy, smooth, spreadable 'cream cheese lookalike' swiss flavor cheese. Note the use of the word flavor here. This is because, this is not pure swiss cheese. A look at the ingredients shows a combination of cheeses are used to bring you this delight. Cheeses such as light cheddar, cheddar, swiss and semisoft cheeses.
Whatever the combination, The Laughing Cow Light has a clear winner with this one, and a new favorite of mine. This cheese is soft, with a mild delicate cheese flavor. It may look like cream cheese, but the flavor is more like a combination of mild cheddar and swiss cheeses. The best thing is that this cheese is spreadable and good on any sandwich and great on bagels, which is one of the two ways I love to use this cheese. The other way is to dip a finger in the cheese and just eat it straight, a la kid style.
The next best thing about this light cheese is the nutrition. Just 35 calories per wedge, and 2 grams of total fat, and 1 gram of saturated fat. You also get a little protein and calcium. The regular, holey swiss cheese is about 70 calories with 5 grams of fat and 3 grams of saturated fat (from The Calorie Lab). The price for The Laughing Cow Light, is around $3.00 for the round container with 8 wedges.
So let's summarize the things we love about this cheese: the name, Laughing Cow, the packaging, the taste, the nutrition, and the logo - a red cow with earrings which look suspiciously like the round container. Do we need to say we are giving this two thumbs up? And thanks France for bringing us this cheese ![]()

They are delish! Laughing Cow's Gourmet Cheese and Baguettes are great as a quick snack, too. I tried the Onion Poppyseed. Very flavorful.
I love them. My favorite is the French Onion.
I need coupons please.
Thanks..

In most all supermarkets, ask them to order it if not available. I love it with apple slices (Fuji in Spring) and add 3 oz. of Black Forest Low Sodium Ham for my meal. Add a Kiwi for good nutrition & taste. (Don't refrigerate until semi soft). Peel and eat!
Simply the best! I love this cheese with a few carrots and snap peas in the afternoon to tide me over until dinner. The size of the wedge is substantial, but still surprisingly low in fat and calories!
Safeway tries to sell Laughing Cow products for $5.49!!! HAHAHA! I get mine at Trader Joe's for $2.49
I'm not a fan of cheese, but I must say I absolutely love The Laughing Cow cheese. It doesn't have that typical, pungent cheese taste to it at all.
Um Um good. I can't get enough of this cheese. So good that I will pay $4.00 if need be for it

Laughing coe original has changed in texureto a more runny spread
This is a great product but the price is ridiculous. 8 servings of cheese spread for 3 dollars or more? Cmon. If you're dieting on Weight Watches though I'll admit this product is a necessity. But once you're where you want to be at I'd just go for the light/fat free Philadelphia brand.
This price is a little high, but in my opinion it is worth it if you are watching your weight like I am.
