Kashi Trail Mix Granola Bar

Granola Bar It's no secret that I love Kashi products, because they are usually healthy, have a good bit of fiber, and usually taste pretty good. The first thing I saw when I ripped open the wrapper on the Kashi trail mix granola bar with 7 whole grains, was a big chunk of an almond piece, sesame seeds, raisins and cranberries. I absolutely loved the fact that Kashi does not skimp on the 'good stuff' in this products - more nuts less 'filler' is what you'll find in this. So right from the packaging, the Trail Mix Granola Bar seems like a healthy option. The label says '7 whole grains' and then there is all the nuts and fruit bits,.but we all know that sometimes the 'good stuff' does not always equal to 'good taste.' In this case, there is no need to worry about that. A combination of sesame seeds, almonds, raisins, and cranberries make for a soft, chewy but 'nutty' bar.

Granola is a cereal made of especially rolled oats with dried fruits and nuts and honey or brown sugar.
My only complaint about this product is that they do not print the nutrition label on the individual granola bars - and the back of the wrapping has no text, so there's plenty of room for it. They certainly have things to brag about; 4 grams fiber (16% of the daily value), only 6 grams of sugar, 5 grams of protein 5 grams of fat, with only 0.5 grams saturated fat, and 130 calories - which is about average for a snack bar. The price for a box with 6 bars is $3.50. It is a bit more pricey than some other granola bars, but I think it is totally worth it, and I will be buying this again.

No one seems to be saying anything about sodium content. 105 mg per bar -- is that really correct? Is that really healthy?

I just ate one and the nutrition label was right on the package! Maybe it has changed? They are delicious!
