Genisoy Low Carb Crunch Bar

A low carb bar that actually tastes good? Too good to be true you say? Well, it seems Genisoy has found the perfect recipe. I tried the chocolate chip bar, and you wouldn't know this was low carb because it is actually full of flavor. The bar is crunchy, and does not have that 'off' beany taste of soy, yet it is still sweet, thanks in part to Splenda, according to the ingredients list.
Not only is this bar low carb and taste great, but it is not heavy in the calories or the fat. Many people think that if something is "low carb" it probably has a lot of something else - and that is something you don't want in your diet. Not in this case! In fact, this bar also has 12% of the daily value of fiber and is high protein too.
The 45 gram Genisoy Low Carb Crunch Bar will give up 160 calories, which is about average for a bar this size. There is also 300 mg sodium which is 13% of the daily value - which is too high for a snack bar, 6 grams of total fat, 3.5 grams or 18% of the daily value for saturated fat, 15 grams of protein and 18 grams of total carbohydrates which includes no sugar and 12% of the daily value of fiber (3 grams). Those values are not outrageous by any means, but I would make sure that this is a snack by itself, and not to eat too many in one day. Always beware of hidden calories. The better news is that there are 3 grams of fiber, and the bar is loaded with 25% of many helpful minerals and vitamins.
Overall, the price is a little on the high side at betweeb $1.00 to $1.50 per bar, but I think I would buy these again, if I were to buy low carb bars.
