There are many 'yogurt smoothies' in the grocery store these days, some of them good, some not so good. Thankfully, Tropicana Pina Colada Smoothie falls in the good category. It has a sweet pineapple taste, a thick consistency, and is smooth going down. For those of you 'rummies' out there, this is not like the Pina Colada you order at the bar. That pina colada is made with rum, coconut milk, and crushed pineapples. This pina colada is made with pineapple juice, apple juice, orange juice, yogurt and milk, just to name a few ingredients.
Nutritionally, the front label states that this yogurt smoothie has 14 vitamins and minerals, and it is an impressive list with most at 15 - 25%. Take note of the 100% Vitamin E, which most of us never get in our diets, 100% vitamin C, 50% vitamin A and 5 g fiber. But there are 250 calories in one 11 oz bottle and 46 g sugar. An otherwise excellent drink that could use a decrease in the calories and sugar content. No doubt we will see a diet version of this (if it doesn't already exist).
