Dannon Light 'n Fit Yogurt with Fiber

yogurt It seems that the food companies are all trying to make foods healthier in any way that they can, and one of the latest additions is yogurt with extra fiber. I'm definitely not complaining though. Fiber is one of those things that's really good for you, but we usually don't get anywhere near the 25 g a day that is suggested. But healthy foods are not always the best tasting and if the taste is awful, no one is going to eat it. With that in mind, I tried the Light 'n Fit with fiber. It was -- okay. Sweet without all the sugar (only 8 g), but I'm not sure if the 'apple' flavor tasted like apple. It was more like pineapple-apple. This was the 'smooth and creamy' variety so you didn't have the little chunks of fruit. Instead they used apple puree. I'm sure everybody has their own preferences - but I prefer the fruit pieces in the yogurt. I like the added texture, and you usually don't have any questions about the flavor.

Light 'n fit with fiber only has 70 calories per 4 ounce serving (the small size that comes in the 6 pack), 0 g fat, 8 g sugar and 3 g fiber. Although the flavor is not the best, I think it's worth it to get the good nutrition. (For the 6 ounce serving size, there would be 105 calories, 12 grams of sugar and 4.5 grams of fiber). Vegetarians should note that this product contains gelatin (which is derived from animals).

I love dannon light and fit smoothies! they ARE the shyttt!!!!

I absolutely hate yogurt, but I know what you mean about the fiber. Fiber is one of the most important components of a person's diet, and yet most people don't even come close to taking in the amount that they need. Fiber is especially good if you are trying to lose weight. If you are trying to lose weight, a good way to do it, is to concentrate on adding a lot of fiber to your diet to cancel out the amount of carbohydrates you take in.
