Lean Cuisine seems to have added a new line called Cafe Classics which are 'contemporary restaurant inspired recipes.' Interesting, I always like to see companies trying to improve upon their products. This fiesta grilled chicken sounded good and looked damn good on the box too. I popped this baby in the microwave and went to do a few things. When I came back and took it out of the microwave, I thought, damn! What the hell is this? There was some kind of creamy sauce thing all over the rice - actually you couldn't even see any rice at all. It looked horrible. But since I needed to do this review, and I was hungry, I tied it anyway. I am so glad I did, because this was so tasty. How can anything so repulsive looking, taste so good? Well, I don't know the answer to that, but this Fiesta grilled chicken achieved that feat. But the best was yet to come. When I bit into the chicken chunks, I think the taste buds did a little excited flip, because this 'grilled chicken' was extra yummy! They really outdid themselves with this! Lean Cuisine, you have a winner on your hands. If you could only make this more visually appealing, we could award you with the prestigious, hard to obtain, Iateapie.net 5 stars.
This is not bad nutritionally too. With only 280 calories per serving, 6 g of fat, 2.5 g saturated fat, and 19 g of protein. It is a little high in sodium, at 580 mg but this is on the lower end for most frozen meals. Plus there is 10% vitamin A, calcium and 40% of vitamin C. In terms of price, Lean Cuisine is always very reasonable at approximately $2.00.
