Lean Cuisine Baked Chicken

chicken As I sat down to yet another night of studying, and yet another night of me being too lazy to cook, I decided to try out this 'baked chicken tenderloins with gravy, stuffing and whipped potatoes' from Lean Cuisine Comfort Classics. It looked good enough and even though I don't like stuffing, I was willing to suffer through it for the sake of this review. Visually, this product was appealing, but I would hate to think that you could actually go wrong with baked chicken and mashed potatoes. I bit into the chicken tenderloin strips, they were good. I tried the mashed potatoes, they were good. Then I tried the stuffing, and my opinion hasn't changed, I still don't like stuffing. Overall, this product was a good solid product, but there was really nothing spectacular about it. It was just another meal like any other. Sometimes, that's just what you need.

chicken Nutritionally, it was also good (I have used that word way too many times in this review). There were only 230 calories, 4.5 g fat, 1 g saturated fat, 16 g protein, but there was too much sodium, at 690 mg. Priced at just around $2.00, I would definitely buy this again and again. I was most impressed by the ingredients. The first few (in bold on the box) were potatoes, water, chicken tenderloins and corn croutons. No preservatives, no sugar - you hardly see that these days.
