Balance GoMix Energy Snack Mix
I tried the Mixed Berry Crisp which had 'protein clusters, soy nuts, yogurt flavored raisins, strawberries and blueberries.' This mix was some good tasting stuff. If you like Trail Mix, then you'll like this. I don't believe that soy nuts are very palatable when eaten by themselves, but put it in a mix to replace peanuts, and it doesn't taste too bad at all and you get some added protein.
Since I am a confessed snack-a-holic I am always on the lookout for nutritious products that I can munch on. I was about to add this to the list when I took a glance at the nutrition panel - 200 calories? In a 1.58 oz packet? For reference, this is similar to the size of those CapriSun juice packets with about half as much stuff in it. There is also 6 g of fat, 2.5 g saturated fat and 14 g of sugar. You do get about 15% of most vitamins and a few minerals but I just can't get over the amount of calories in this though. I think is would be a good product to sprinkle on top of cereal, or sorbet or yogurt, but I don't think I'll be having this as a snack on its own.
