Seneca Apple Chips

Seneca Apple Chips I've had potato chips, banana chips, plantain chips - all good - but never apple chips, so I was really curious to find out about this type. When I bit into these chips, they were yummy. They were crispy, a little thicker than the average potato chip, and had a sweet taste. I had 2 and then I had 3, even went for 4, before the sweet taste became too much. They are 140 calories per serving of 12 chips, no different from regular potato chips, but I know there is no way that I can sit down and have 12 chips at once. The sweet taste just becomes too much after a few chips. I guess that might be a good thing especially since I got a 3 oz bag which has 3 servings (of 12 chips each) per bag. I tried the Original Apple Chips, but they also have caramel, cinnamon, sour apple, and red delicious - all apple chips as well. Price was about 99 cents for the bag, which is certainly affordable.

Nutritionally, this product boldly states on the bag '30% less fat than potato chips, which is certainly true. They have 7g of total fat (0.5 g saturated fat), while Lays Potato Chips has 10 g (3 g saturated fat), but Baked Lays only has 1.5 g total fat. Other than the fat content, this product is really no different from any other chip nutritionally. I can't really say it's good for you because it still has too much fat, no vitamins or anything that's good for you plus it has 11 g of sugar per serving due to them adding corn syrup. And, if you ask me, they went a little overboard with this, because these chips are just too damn sweet.

I bought mine at Big Lots. They're not always there, but I check regularly.

These are delicious, I don't think they are too sweet. I can't stop eating them and it' snot good because they have too much fat :(
I bought them at big lots for 99 cents (recently for 79 cents after a 20% coupon) but I once bought them at Albertsons for about 2.50, which is ridiculously expensive. Seneca sells them directly ,but at 12 for 13.50 ....
