Lean Cuisine Teriyaki Stir Fry

Sweet and Sour Chicken You won't often find me buying Lean Cuisine because of the price. It sells for $2.99 at my local grocery store, where you can also get Healthy Choice for under $2.00. But I had to bring you guys something new, and I love Teriyaki chicken, so I thought I would give this one a try. Oh my goodness - I was not disappointed at all. I had every last bit of this "Roasted white meat chicken in a Teriyaki glaze with vegetables and pasta." I must confess I was extremely hungry when I tried this, but at the end of it all, I was scraping the bottom of the plastic bowl to get every last taste. I do have one slight qualm. The noodles, which tasted excellent with the sauce, looked like old fashioned chicken noodles. This may not really be a point of contention for most however.

I really wanted to give this product a 5 star rating despite the price, but alas this was not to be. Nutritionally it was good at 300 calories, 4,5 g fat, and the added bonus of 3 g of fiber and 360 mg of potassium, but there was just too much sodium - 690 g or 30% of the daily requirement. This would not be an issue if we all ate correctly and didn't consume a lot of sodium in our diet, but since most people consume 2-3 times the recommended amount, this is just way too much sodium to put in one product. This really disappointed me, but I guess I will be over it in time to do another review tomorrow.
