Tropicana Essentials Light
At first I thought this was another brand of orange juice, but quickly came to realize, after reading the ingredients label, that this was orange juice to which water, and then a sugar substitute was added. I'm not sure what to call it then. It seems that neither is Tropicana, so they didn't bother calling it anything, since nowhere on the label does it identify what kind of 'drink' this is. Anyhow, so what does it taste like you ask. Well, it tastes like orange juice made from oranges that were more sour than sweet. Since most orange juice being sold today has a sweeter taste, it may take some getting used to.
Nutritionally, T.E Light offers up 50 calories per serving, with only 10 g of sugar, as opposed to 22 g in a cup of regular orange juice. Personally, I'm not sure that I would resort to cutting calories by switching to this orange juice/drink concoction. I mean, what is the world coming to when you can't enjoy a simple glass of orange juice without worrying about calories or carbs and instead of OJ, we drink a pricier, watered down, sweetened substitute that tastes sour? This product is okay, but I will personally be sticking to regular, 100% pure orange juice.
